About Me

Hi, my name is Rémi, and I’m from France. I’m a WordPress developer and a leather-crafter.

As a code wrangler at Automattic, I do my best to share useful posts on that blog! If that helps let me know!

I worked in many great companies across Europe, USA, and even Mexico, but now I’m part of the awesome WooCommerce at Automattic as a WooCommerce developer focusing on woocommerce.com. I developed plugins and themes for WordPress that I used to sell on CodeCanyon. I also created add-ons for Easy Digital Downloads, WP Job Manager and WooCommerce, and I write for some specialized websites like WPExplorer, wp.tutsplus.com, WooCommerce Blog or WPkube.

I’m the creator a plugin called WPdonations that can be used for charities, fundraising, political campaigns etc… (Temporarily retired)

I’m the co-organizer of the WP BootCamp (3 editions) and the WordCamp Bordeaux 2019.

This site was created in part as a way for me to focus my work on WordPress in one single place, but also as a resource that I hope will help fill some gaps in the documentation on WordPress plugins or themes development. There are countless websites offering tutorials daily, weekly or monthly and advice on the development of WordPress, but not one that focuses solely on advanced techniques.

I talked at many WordPress related events like WordCamp Paris, WPMX, Montreal WordPress meetup or WPtech. I also did a TEDx talk, check it out!

WordPress is my passion, and I constantly try to do better to help you in using WordPress.

On the side I am also a self-taught leather worker, you should definitely visit my shop “A la Française“!

If you want to contact me and ask questions about WordPress or my plugins, or if you have ideas for specific development, or anything else, feel free to contact me via my contact page.
